In our Full Day Summer Camp Program, your child will grow their social skills, build confidence, and make life-long memories in small, grade-level groups. Each week, your camper will play games, swim, go on field trips, and choose from activities such as sports, cooking, crafts, outdoor skills and more! Each week provides unique experiences and themes-with fun surprises around every corner. Our team is excited for your child to join us for camp this summer!

Our Teen Camp offers a space where youth from all backgrounds are welcomed, discover new skills, establish positive relationships, and reach their full potential. Through weekly themes, teens (rising 6th-8th grade), will participate in activities and discussions that explore service learning and leadership development – all while having fun in the process! Your teen is sure to find their spark this summer at the YMCA.

We are excited to offer our 4-week CIT program. The focus of this program is to gain leadership and life skills, and prepare for future employment. *Application is open as long as space is available.

Focus: Gaining leadership skills and preparing for future employment.
Gains: professional recommendations, life skills, staff mentor, certification of completion for the CIT program, YMCA leader certification.

To apply for the Counselor in Training Program:
  • Complete online CIT application HERE, then submit 2-3 letters of recommendation using the link provided in the "next steps" email that will be sent once your application is submitted.
  • After application and references are received, we will reach out to schedule an in person interview.

Art Camp 

Art provokes thought, encourages expression, and helps to build self-esteem. In accordance with SC State Standards, your artist will build a portfolio which includes examples of Abstract, Pointillism, Modern, and Pop art. Learning about Artist such as Jackson Pollock, Henri Matisse and Vincent Van Gogh will help your camper build the artistic skills they will need to become the best artist, thinker, collaborator, and storyteller they can be.  Come imagine and create with us.

Code Creators Camp 

In this unique coding camp, campers will learn the basics of programming and problem-solving using limited technology and lots of creativity! Designed for young beginners, this camp blends hands-on, "unplugged" activities with time on computers for practical experience, offering a well-rounded introduction to coding concepts. Campers will explore foundational ideas in coding, like sequencing, loops, and algorithms, through interactive games, puzzles, and teamwork.

Jurassic Lab Camp

Jump into a time machine and travel back to the days of the dinosaurs with The Y! Campers will learn about fossil formation, prehistoric plants, and the varieties of dinosaurs that roamed the earth millions of years ago. Our time-traveling explorers will craft their own dino eggs and fossils, go on a very special dinosaur dig, learn how to keep a field journal of all their discoveries and create their own Jurassic terrarium.  This fascinating interactive camp combines biology, paleontology, botany, and art, in accordance with SC State Standards.

Kinder Camp

Kinder Camp combines all the fun of camp with the academics of school to help rising kindergarteners to transition with confidence into the classroom. In line with the South Carolina State Standards, Kinder Camp promotes higher-order thinking, cooperative learning and play, as well as social and emotional growth. Kinder Camp will allow our littlest campers to hone their social as well as academic skills and learn how to make friends, follow classroom instructions, and work cooperatively. Our Kinder Campers will become Superheroes, Mad Scientist, Artist, and Engineers during their exciting week at camp.

Mad Scientist Camp

Do you have a young scientist itching to stretch their science muscles over summer, then Mad Scientist camp is for you.  Using SC State Standards for science, campers will unleash the awesomeness of the scientific method, then use it to explore the world of chemical reactions, discover the connection between solids, liquids, and gases, and much, much more!  At the end, campers will take home all their creative projects for friends and family to enjoy, as well as the tools of their trade to continue their scientific journeys at home.  Your little scientist will be “mad” about science after this experience!

Myth Busters Camp

Get ready to debunk myths, test wild theories, and uncover the truth in our hands-on Myth Busters Camp! Inspired by the spirit of scientific exploration, this camp invites curious minds to investigate popular myths, urban legends, and science "facts" to see if they truly hold up. Through exciting experiments, critical thinking exercises, and creative problem-solving, campers will learn the scientific process while testing and busting (or proving!) myths themselves.

Outdoor Adventure Camp

Get ready for an action-packed week of adventure and learning in the great outdoors! At the Outdoor Survival Skills Camp, kids will discover essential survival techniques while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for nature. Designed for ages 9 to 12, this camp will provide hands-on lessons in Navigation Skills, Nature First Aid, and Basic Survival Skills. Each day will be filled with fun challenges and outdoor games, encouraging problem-solving, leadership, and creativity in a supportive environment. Whether it’s navigating a scavenger hunt or building their own survival kit, campers will leave with invaluable skills and lasting memories!

Robotics Camp

In this engaging Robotics Adventure Camp, campers will dive into the world of robotics with a focus on creativity and hands-on building using limited technology! Perfect for young engineers, this camp combines fundamental robotics concepts with unplugged activities, teamwork, and low-tech robot design. Campers will explore how robots work, learn basic engineering principles, and create simple, motorized machines from everyday materials.

Swim Camp

This camp is designed to provide a safe, fun environment in the pool all 5 days of the week. Swim Camp is for all levels of swimmers wanting to learn Safety Around Water and swimming strokes while having fun at our beautiful pools. The groups will be split into three skill levels on the first day after a swim assessment (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced). They will learn swimming skills based on their current abilities and skills from beginners all the way to those with advanced swimming strokes. Campers will rotate through swim lesson instruction time, free swim, organized group games, and brief safety around water segments. A small snack will be provided, labeled water bottles recommended. Goggles and sunscreen are optional but highly recommended, and a towel is required.

Junior Lifeguarding Camp

This camp is focused on preparing our young adult campers for the responsibilities around an aquatic facility. They will train and learn procedures around aquatic facilities from buddy checks, safety, responding to emergencies. Participants will take an exam to receive a CPR and First Aid certification through American Red Cross. Must be at least 11 years old and be able to swim at least 100 yards continuous, any stroke. Goggles and a water bottle are required along with bathing suit and towel. A small snack will be provided.

Triathlon Camp

Tri and Jr. Tri Camp prepares and trains athletes to complete triathlon events. Campers will have fun while participating in biking, swimming, and running training throughout the week. Campers will practice skills such as competitive biking techniques (shifting, cornering, biking up hills successfully, riding in a group), running techniques, swimming stroke instruction and how to transition. Plus play fun games, activities & more! From new to experienced athletes, Y staff will adapt the activities for all levels to develop valuable skills. Equipment list will be emailed out prior to camp (participants WILL need to provide their own bike, and transport it to-and-from camp each day).

Era's Tour

Calling all Swifties! Join us for a journey through Taylor Swift’s iconic eras! This camp will introduce campers to jazz, ballet, and hip-hop by dancing along to the music from Taylor’s Red, Reputation, Lover, and Midnight's eras. Campers will learn routines inspired by each era’s unique style, ready to showcase for family and friends on Friday. Get ready to dance, sing, and celebrate the music that defined a generation!

Tumble and Twirls

Calling all aspiring ballerinas! Throughout the week, campers will learn the basics of ballet, dance their way through story time ballets, and make their own tutus. On Friday, parents are invited to an informal performance highlighting skills learned throughout the week. Participants need ballet slippers and should wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Leotards may be worn but are not required.

Volleyball Camp

This camp will help athletes develop and grow their love for the game. Campers will learn how to serve consistently over the net, how to hit the ball to both teammates and over the net and more. Campers will play a full volleyball game Friday morning.

Extended Day Camp is an option for parents who seek to complement their child’s half-day camp with additional activities. When your camper’s specialty camp is not in session, they’ll join their friends in Full Day Summer Camp for an extended time of fun and play! Extended camp is only available if your camper is signed up for a specialty camp. Students will be taken to their specialty camp by one of our staff, and returned to full day summer camp after specialty camp ends. Please note: Extended Day Campers do not go on field trips.

Full Day, Teen, and Extended Day Camps
  • A $50 registration fee is required at time of registration (non-refundable).
  • A $10 deposit is required to reserve your spot for each session week.  
  • Fees must be paid through our automated payment system. You will be required to set up this auto-draft payment method at the time of registration. This payment authorization is to remain in effect until the Y receives the required notification to cancel the program. Your scheduled payment amount will increase/decrease based on the weekly fee plans, and will be adjusted to reflect holidays that fall within your camp week. If your scheduled payment is returned or if you stop payment or your account closes, you will be responsible to pay the program fees and the $25 service fee. If any changes occur with your bank account, debit or credit card, please notify the Y immediately.
  • A cancellation notice is required in writing at least 15 business days prior to the camp’s start date.
  • Written cancellation notices received at least 15 business days prior to the camp start date will result in a refund or system credit of amount paid (minus $10 deposit).
  • No refunds or system credits will be issued for cancellation requests not submitted at least 15 business days prior to the camp start date.

Financial Assistance

4-Year-Olds

Child must be 5 years old and a rising kindergartener to participate in camp. You may register a child who is currently 4 years old, but will turn 5 before the desired camp week. Please call us at 864.412.0288 if the system prevents you from registering.

Full Day & Extended Day Camps

If your child has a summer birthday and the system prevents you from registering them into the appropriate camp grade division (based on their rising grade), please call us at 864.412.0288 for assistance.

Half Day Camps

Child must be the age stated on the camp description on the first day of that camp in order to register.
