Prisma Health Family Y Members & Community Supporters,
I am thrilled to share that we are activating the next phase in our plan to expand the Prisma Health Family YMCA campus.
Starting next week, we will begin demolition in the cardio theater. This marks the first significant step in our transformational journey toward providing added space for our members and participants. Following completion, our team will redesign the fitness center layout, install new flooring, upgrade our fitness machines, and enhance the outdoor walking path. Our hope is to complete this phase before January 2025.
I’m pleased to announce that Mauldin Planning Commission has approved our proposed building plans, allowing us to move forward confidently in the process of obtaining bids from construction firms. Our goal is to begin work on the larger components of the project as soon as possible (including the expansion of school-age childcare facilities and a new 8,000 square foot gym).
The YMCA of Greenville remains unwaveringly committed to this comprehensive three-phased plan, which also includes the development of a second pool and expanded parking. We appreciate your continued support and patience as we work through these exciting changes.
